Malaysia has begun enforcing new rules barring children under 16 from opening social media accounts, as part of efforts to strengthen online safety for minors. India tightens registration rules for foreign visitors
India has amended its immigration rules, requiring some foreign nationals to register earlier if they intend to stay in the country beyond 180 days. Under changes to the Immigration and Foreigners Rules, 2025, foreigners entering India on visas valid for 180 days or less must now register before the 180-day period expires if they want to stay beyond that period. Four members of a family were among five people killed when a private car crashed into a stationary truck on the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway in Faridpurs Bhanga upazila. A Dhaka court today sentenced a man to one months imprisonment and fined him Tk 2,000 for covering his motorcycles number plate with scotch tape to evade detection by AI-powered traffic cameras in the capital. Veteran politician Tofail Ahmed was laid to rest beside his parents at the family graveyard in Bhola on Tuesday (June 2). The government has reduced the price of liquefied petroleum gas for June. The price of a 12kg LPG cylinder has been fixed at Tk 1,885, down by Tk 55 from Tk 1,940. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission announced the new rates in a statement on Tuesday (June 2). The price of autogas, used in vehicles, has also been reduced to Tk 86.93 per litre from Tk 89.50. The new rates will come into effect from 6pm on Tuesday (June 2), the BERC statement said.
